KRABI RESORT – A HAPPY HAPPENSTANCE

This beautiful resort lined with bungalows was never on our mind. So, we never booked it. This was our agent who misheard us and booked us in this resort. And pulling some favours, he had us upgraded to a bungalow. Rather than getting miffed at him, we thanked him and our stars that we got this resort instead. Because we had looked at a hotel, and not a resort. So, what was the best part of the resort? The location? Sure, that was great, right on the Aao Nang beach, just behind a line of tastefully done bars and cafés, but what really took our breath away was the property itself. Greenery abound, cobbled lanes, streets lined with shells, thatched roof bungalows, a bar inside the swimming pool, a restaurant inside a boat. I mean, it was a sheer delight just to take a walk inside this massive property. You know there are a few properties that make you feel like you’re on a vacation, this was exactly that. Beautiful, cut away from the world, it was a world of its own. We spent our first evening sipping on a Singapore Sling (ironic for Krabi, Thailand) and gorging on some locally marinated pork ribs and leaf-cooked chicken. But overall, the food was the usual fare, nothing much to rave about, but that was alright. The beauty of the place had more than done its bit to fill our palate for something tasteful. Like even the room was straight out of a royal book. Now that's worth talking about, it. Large, airy, and adorned with intricately done upholstery. Even the bathroom was so massive, it could have easily passed off as a room. Our next day was spent on the Phi Phi Island tour, and after a tiring day, we were glad we were coming back to this comfortable haven. We consider ourselves lucky to have stumbled upon this gem, but you guys can happily make this a memorable stay by choice.
